You’re about to obtain one of my bidirectional MaxForLive wrappers. I truly believe this will have a profoundly positive impact on your workflow in Ableton Live.

What can I do with this?!

This device enables you to control Saturn II’s essential functions directly from Ableton’s interface. There is no need to open the plug-in window unless you wish to access Saturn’s advanced modulation section. Should you require it, simply click the large yellow “Saturn” button to open the native plug-in. All controls in the wrapper are fully bidirectional, meaning any parameter changes made in the plug-in are reflected in the wrapper — and vice versa.

Installation

1. Move the downloaded .amxd file(s) into Live’s Max for Live folder:
   /Users/User/Music/Ableton/User Library/Presets/Audio Effects/Max Audio Effect/ProQ4-4000-Vst3.amxd
   
   (Tip: You can also open this folder by right-clicking any Max for Live device in Ableton’s browser and selecting “Open in Finder”.)
2. Done. Load the wrapper onto any track.

Operation

• Clicking the “Band II” button adds a second band to Saturn and reveals an extended control panel on the right. Disengaging it removes the band, although its settings are retained.

Important Notes

• You must own Saturn 2 to use these wrappers.
• Currently, most of my wrappers support VST3 only.
